Three part portfolio
Ethiopia, Ghana, and Mali

Each of the three portfolios contain twenty silver prints made on warm tone silver gelatin traditional photographic paper for a total of sixty prints.

The prints are gold-toned offering a gentile split-toned effect. Each print is made in a traditional wet darkroom by the artist and respects the cherished 19th century process. Therefore, these are handmade, not machine made or digital prints.

The prints are presented in a handcrafted clothbound clamshell case with the portfolio title, AFRICA, embossed on the cover along with my name. The 16" x 20" format is reserved exclusively for this three part portfolio set and prints are not sold individually in this size.

*Each portfolio is limited to only six examples.

Edition numbers 5/6 and 6/6 are currently reserved for all three portfolios listed above.
*Prices will rise as each set of three sells down.

The luminous quality of the traditional silver print has no equal. They possess a sparkle, shine, and gleam that I find missing in the new era of digital, machine-made printers. To my eye, there is no comparison. And in my opinion, silver prints are the epitome of the high art of black and white photography.
